The applicant that reported this scam reported the following:

"There were several emails exchanged while I asked questions about the position, etc.  Finally I was "sold" that the job was legit and paid via paypal $20 for their manual.  THEN I was told I needed to pay an additional $2.88 for a signup fee because of a paypal referral.  I paid this also.

In the previous 5 or 6 (or more) emails nothing was said about a fee other than the $20 manual fee.  $20 is all I had to submit and I could start as soon as I read the manual and responded by email that I was still interested in the position and ready to start.

It is now weeks later and I have NO manual...NO anything.  I have sent 5 emails asking for followup as to where we stand and have not gotten a response.

In my final email  on 8/29 to the "manager" I expressed that I felt I had been scammed and requested my money back.  To date I still have had no response."

This job post was immediately removed from TeleportJobs after receiving the report and this user has been suspended. Please be careful when applying for positions on our site or on any job board. Unfortunately there are people out there that do not have a conscious and do not care if they hurt others for their personal gain.

There may be legitimate clerical, work at home opportunities out there but you must be careful. Employers should pay you to work. You should not have to pay them. Use the above job post as an example of how to spot a scam and always use caution when asked to send money for a manual or instructions.
