Job Description
Scottrade, Inc. has aBranch Manager position available inMandeville, LA.  The Branch Manager is responsible for the day to day operation of the branch office, leading branch planning and goal setting activities as well as the development of all branch associates.  The Branch Manager supports licensed associates in such areas as margin rules and regulations, option strategies and advanced trading technologies.  All duties and responsibilities are performed while providing excellent customer service to prospective and existing customers on the phone and in person. The Branch Managers goal is to satisfy the customer needs, promote our value proposition and to ensure a memorable and satisfactory trading experience with Scottrade.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Promote the benefits of Scottrade to prospective and current customers.
* Execute trades for customers who either walk-in or call over the phone in an accurate and professional manner.
* Provide customer service for all aspects of account maintenance.
* Keep up with reorg items, margin delinquencies; call customers to inform them of exercises, short option report, miscellaneous debits.
* Take lead information from potential customers and discuss the type of account paperwork needed with customer.
* Handle customer complaints and problems. Work with the compliance department as necessary.
* Review all branch reports.
* Keep branch statistics and P&L reports and ensure credit and charges are correct.
* Approve all paperwork before going to compliance.
* Maintain tally sheet/leads database reports/yearly summary.
Required Skills
* A current Series 7 and Series 63 license
* Clean U4 securities record
* Series 24 license preferred or ability to obtain the license within 30-60 days
* 3 to 4 years of licensed discount experience with a major discount brokerage firm preferred and absolute proficiency as a stockbroker in all areas of the discount industry
* Excellent customer service skills
* Prior management experience in brokerage industry helpful
* Minimum 4 years customer service skills
* Some travel required
EDUCATION:
Bachelor degree in Finance or Business or related field or equivalent experience preferred
