Enterprise Site Response Engineer![]() Requisition Number 3840049 Job title Enterprise Site Response Engineer Location Austin Country United States City Austin State/Province Texas Job type Full Time Job description Works in the AppleCare Enterprise Site Response Engineering (ESRE) support group. Acts as a technical contact for Global Enterprise phone support groups, providing advanced technical assistance via telephone and e-mail. Work closely with the Enterprise Customer Support Engineering (ECSE) Team and Apple Product Engineering to provide solutions for technical problems experienced by system administrators deploying, managing, and integrating server platforms, or networks based on Mac OS X, Mac OS X Server, XServe, XRaid, and XSAN Products. Assist in the creation and maintenance of technical resource documents. Create and deliver roundtable/ training content for Global Enterprise phone support groups. Assist in tracking product issues, following trends, and adding customer impact to help prioritize future product fixes or enhancements. Assist in other operational duties within the department. Non-standard work hours, occasional domestic and international travel, and on call duty rotation may be required. . Open Directory including replication and central authentication (Password Server) integration, configuration, and troubleshooting, required. . Apple Storage Technologies (XSAN and RAID) troubleshooting and configuration required. . Managed Client for Mac OS X (MCX) features focusing on network home directories, configuration and troubleshooting desired. . Apple Remote Desktop configuration and troubleshooting a plus. . Apple's Netinstall, Netboot configuration and troubleshooting desired. . Network troubleshooting, planning, and configuration a plus. . Windows 2000/2003 Server and Active Directory configuration and troubleshooting a plus. . Other Apple hardware and software products experience a plus. |
