Job description The iPhone software team is looking for an engineer to work on services that will improve the experience of iPhone applications. As an engineer on the iPhone team, you will help maintain existing services as well as implement new services. You will work alongside application engineers with the goal of improving the overall experience for our customers. There are millions of iPhone users so performance and scalability are very important issues. You will also work with system administrators, database administrators and network engineers to ensure that are services are always up and running.

. BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience/skills.
. Strong programming skills, preferably with C, C++ and/or Objective-C.
. Strong Unix platform background and understanding
. Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and networking development experience
. In-depth knowledge of SQL, DNS, database system concepts and understanding of database performance tuning
. Experience and a desire to work partly on the operational side (alongside SA's, network engineers and DBAs) collaboratively to deploy and maintain large scale applications and services
. Good communication and organization skills.
