Product Team Specialist![]() External Job Title Product Team Specialist Job Location City Lincolnshire Job Location State Illinois Reference # 28080BR Department Merchandising Hiring Manager Title Dir Merchandising Responsibilities Attention recent college graduates: Quill is hiring an entry-level merchandising assistant to support promotional opportunities developed by the various Product Managers in print and on Quill.com. The Product Team Specialist in Quills Merchandising group works within a small team as well as with members of other departments to grow the margin and revenue in specific product categories, such as technology/electronic products. Youll get right into the details of how to advertise products online, in e-mails and in print mail - working with data to see how customers responded; collaborating with designers and writers on the visual presentation; and constantly generating ideas within your team to help drive better sales and margins. This job puts you on the career path to Assistant Product Manager, Product Manager, Director and beyond. Your work is highly visible to company executives. Youll get to see both the immediate and long-term results of your work, and know that you personally contributed to the business success. Specific Responsibilities: . Coordinates all email activity for the Merchandising organization . Gathers the monthly promotional opportunities and, working with the Marketing Promotional group, identifies offers for inclusion in the monthly core emails . Works directly with the responsible Product Managers to develop and produce all secondary and trigger email activity . Tracks specific email results and makes recommendations for improvement to the Product Manager and Web Merchandising Director . Responsible for the development of Super-Category and Spotlight pages . Works directly with the Merchandising and Web Marketing groups to develop required road maps for all promotional activity on the web site . Works directly with the Marketing Operations group to review and approve the product search hierarchy on the web site . Manages the prioritization of Merchandising requests to the Marketing Operations group . Ensures proper communication of changes throughout the organization in order to eliminate unintended problems from these changes (search, trigger email, etc.) . Works directly with the Product Managers to determine all item and product category level technical system specifications to be implemented on the site . Identifies potential up-sell / cross-sell opportunities on the site and manages related rules . Provides feedback to the Merchandising organization on sales and margin results from up-sell / cross-sell opportunities . Coordinates all print activities for specific product categories Qualifications Four year college degree in a business discipline. Minimum of one internship related to marketing or merchandising, preferably with online marketing emphasis. Demonstrated working knowledge of personal computers, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. MS Access and Quark experience a plus. Must be flexible in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills necessary. High attention to detail extremely important. |
