Chevron North America Exploration and Production Company is accepting online applications for the position of HES Specialist- Repetitive Stress Injury (RSI) located in Houston, Texas through September 15, 2008.
Overview:
This position will report to the HES Team Leader - Shared Services. The position will be an HES Specialist (RSI) assigned activities related to identification of risks associated with development of repetitive stress injuries. The position is based in Houston with some travel required.
Position Details: Key Job Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
. The position will plan and execute training and exercises to develop skills of DWEP personnel for participation in RSI prevention and discomfort management.
. The position will participate in a Community of Practice for Repetitive Stress Injury Prevention bringing DWEP processes into alignment with Corporate standards.
. The position will be assigned additional support activities for RSI prevention on projects, building broader HES competencies.
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
. Bachelors degree required in Physical/Occupational Therapy or related fields or HES related disciplines.
. Knowledge and ability to apply expertise and skills in the prevention and/or reduction of risks associated with the development of repetitive stress injuries. Application to office &/or project support environments is essential.
. Familiarity and Experience in the application of RSI Process tools which have proven to be effective in identification of employees at risk to developing RSIs. Functions as coordinator for process development and effective use of RSI tools.
. Must have the ability to distinguish between varying RSI risks among employee groups and job duties. Must also have the ability to demonstrate knowledge and effectiveness in varying approaches to managing potential RSI risks as well as discomfort cases.
. Leadership skills: Ability to establish direction and lead RSI support teams and process development teams. Ability to engage stakeholders in development and alignment of processes and procedures. Ability to inspire commitment and trust. Demonstrates integrity, judgment and ethical behavior.
Relocation Options:
Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.
