The following outlines TeleportJobs privacy policy and covers what information we collect from you and how we use your information. It also outlines what information is public and private.

Information collection and use.

In order to use this Web Site, you must first complete the registration form and create a user name and password. During registration you are required to give contact information such as name and email address. We use this information to contact you about the services on our web site in which you have expressed interest.

You have the option to provide additional information such as phone number, address, etc. to us. We encourage you to submit this information so we can provide you with a more personalized experience and make it easier for employers to contact you if you are using TeleportJobs as a means to find a job.

TeleportJobs is the sole owner of the information collected on the TeleportJobs web site. TeleportJobs collects personally identifiable information from our users at several different points on our web site.

Paid services.

We do not charge our users to post a job requirement or to post a resume. However, we do provide products which do require payment. We do not collect financial information from you. Payment for these products will require submission of financial information to a third party payment processing site. TeleportJobs presently only accepts payment through PayPal (www.paypal.com). By using this third party payment processing service you are bound by the terms and conditions of PayPal. You should be familiar with and agree with the privacy policy of PayPal before using their service to make any payment or payments to TeleportJobs. TeleportJobs will not be held liable for damages caused by any breach of private or financial information by any third party payment processing service company used to provide payment to TeleportJobs. We have chosen PayPal as a payment service due to their reputation and privacy policies and we are confident that PayPal will hold your information submitted to them in the highest of confidence.

Users that send payments via PayPal, or any other third party payment service used by TeleportJobs, may receive promotional material from said third party. TeleportJobs is not responsible for and does not initiate the transmission of such material. It is up to you to accept or deny this material.

Surveys or Contests.

From time to time we may provide you the opportunity to participate in contests or surveys on our site. If you participate, we will request certain personally identifiable information from you. Participation in these surveys or contests is completely voluntary and you therefore have a choice whether or not to disclose this information. The requested information typically includes and is not limited to contact information such as name, email address, address, and/or demographic information such as zip code.

We will use this information to notify contest winners and award prizes, monitor web site traffic, or help personalize the web site depending on if the information was collected for a contest or a survey. In the case that this information was collected for an anonymous survey, contact information will be used to send participants an email thank you or newsletter.

We may use a third party service provider to conduct these surveys or contests. Said third party will be prohibited from using our users’ personally identifiable information for any other purpose. We will not share the personally identifiable information you provide through a contest or survey with other third parties unless we give you prior notice and choice.

Uses of information.

TeleportJobs is a web site designed to collect personal information such as contact information and personal job history background of individuals seeking employment (“job seekers”) with employers that have posted jobs on the TeleportJobs web site. The web site is further designed to collect the contact information and job description of any employer that is trying to fill a job position.

Job seeker information is only disclosed to registered employers if and only if the job seeker has applied to a position with that employer. As a job seeker; any and all of the required and optional information (excepting your user name and password) that you provided during registration or that currently resides in the TeleportJobs database under your user information will be provided to the employer that you provided an application to. Additionally, any information within the resume that you submitted to the employer will be visible to the employer. As a job seeker you may choose to make your resume “searchable.” Searchable resumes do not include your contact information unless you have placed this information within the resume body. We recommend that you do not place such personal or contact information within the resume body if you choose to make your resume searchable. This will help to protect your privacy until you choose to disclose this information to employers by applying to an open position.

Employers that have registered on TeleportJobs can provide company information, contact information, and a description of an opening that the individual or company is trying to fill. Information provided in the body of the job description is not confidential and can be viewed by anyone with internet access and access to the TeleportJobs web site. “Company information” can be kept confidential by choosing the option to keep such information confidential with each job post. If you choose to disclose company information within an individual job post it will be viewable and accessible only to registered and active job seekers on the TeleportJobs web site. “Contact information” will only be viewable and accessible to registered and active job seekers on the TeleportJobs web site.

TeleportJobs does not sell user information. All information that you provide is used solely for the purpose of providing a service to employers and individuals seeking employment.

Aggregate information supplied by you (information that is not personally identifiable) is used for the purpose of providing targeted advertisements. As an example, the location of a job may be used by our advertisers to advertise the service of companies in the surrounding area.

Communications from the web site.

We will at times send emails or other communications to you regarding the web site. This communication is for and not limited to the purpose of conveying maintenance, changes, upgrades, or new features of the web site. We will also send communications to you via email or other means if you have requested a response from us. For example, you may request a new password if you have forgotten your password. We value your privacy and we will never send you unsolicited communications. You have the right at any time to opt out of solicited communications by logging into your account and changing your preferences or by terminating your account with TeleportJobs.

Special offers and Updates.

We will occasionally send you information on products, services, special deals, or promotions. You can sign up for these emails on our registration page. You can change your preference at any time with regard to these products or services by logging in and changing your preferences in MyTeleport.

Newsletters.

In the future we may offer a newsletter. If you wish to subscribe to our newsletter we will use your name and email address to send the newsletter to you. Out of respect for your privacy, we provide a way to un-subscribe. See “Choice and Opt-Out.”

Service related announcements.

We will send you service related announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so. For example, if our service will be temporarily unavailable for maintenance, we may send you an email.

Generally you may not opt-out of service related communications, which are not promotional in nature. If you do not wish to receive them, you have the option to deactivate your account by logging in and selecting the deactivate my account link in MyTeleport.

Customer Service.

Based upon the personally identifiable information you provide us, we will send you a welcoming email that confirms your username and that you initiated the registration with TeleportJobs. We will also communicate with you in response to your inquiries, to provide the services you request, and to manage your account. We will communicate with you by email. Please confirm that your email is correct.

Profile.

We store information that we collect in cookies, log files, database records, or clear gifs to create a profile of your preferences. We may tie your personally identifiable information and your purchasing history to information in the profile in order to provide tailored promotions and marketing offers and to improve the content of the site for you.

We share your profile to third parties in aggregate form only; which means that any information shared to third parties is not personally identifiable.

Information Sharing and Disclosure.

Aggregate Information (non-personally identifiable)

We share aggregated demographic information about our user base with our partners and advertisers. This information does not identify individual users. We allow advertising services such as Google (www.google.com) to “crawl” our search results page or pages in order to provide targeted advertisements. Only job posts by employers are crawled and only information that is public on the TeleportJobs web site is “crawled” by such advertising services.

We do not link aggregate user data with personally identifiable information.

Personally Identifiable Information.

We do not share Personally Identifiable Information with third parties.

Agents.

We use PayPal (www.PayPal.com) as a payment processing company to bill you for goods and/or services. PayPal or any other payment service used by us may retain , share, store, or use personally identifiable information that you provide said service for other purposes. It is up to you to read, understand, and agree with the privacy policy and terms of PayPal or other payment service used by us. If you do not agree then please do not use the TeleportJobs web site or services.

Legal Disclaimer.

We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our web site.

Choice/Opt-out.

We provide you the opportunity to ‘opt-out’ of having you personally identifiable information used for certain purposes when we ask for this information. For example, if you purchase a product or service from us but do not wish to receive any additional marketing material from us, you can indicate your preference on our order form.

If you no longer wish to receive our newsletter or promotional communications, you may opt out of receiving them by following the instructions included in each news letter or communication or by contacting us. We offer a way to opt-out of certain communications by logging in to your account and changing your preferences in MyTeleport.

Log files and database records.

As is true of most web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store this information in log files or database records. This information includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data.

We use this information, which does not identify individual users, to analyze trends, administer the site, track users’ movements around the site, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole.

We do not link this automatically-collected data to personally identifiable information.

Cookies.

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a users’ computer for record-keeping purposes. We use cookies on this site. We do not link the information that we store in cookies to any personally identifiable information that you while on our site.

We use both session ID and persistent cookies. We use session cookies to make it easier to navigate our site. A session ID cookie expires when you close your browser. We set a persistent cookie to store a login string. This login string is used to keep you logged in during your visit on the TeleportJobs web site. Clear Gifs (Web beacons/web bugs.)

We may employ or our third party advertising partner or partners may employ a software technology called clear gifs, web beacons, or web bugs that help us better manage content on our site by informing us what content is effective. Clear gifs are tiny graphics with a unique identifier, similar in function to cookies, and are used to track the online movements of web users. In contrast to cookies, which are stored on a users’ hard drive, clear gifs are embedded invisibly on web pages and are about the size of a period at the end of this sentence. We do not tie the information gathered by clear gifs to our customers’ personally identifiable information.

Your password is stored within our database as an MD5 hash encoded string concatenated with a randomly generated string. This means that we do not even know your password. In the event that you lose your password you can request a new one by requesting it on our web site.
